As a Senior Data Engineer, you will lead complex data science initiatives and drive strategic AI research across Quest's platform. You'll establish data science methodologies, guide technical decisions, and work closely with principal engineers to shape the AI research agenda for the organization.

Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end data science projects from research to production implementation
- Establish data science best practices, methodologies, and standards for the team
- Research and implement advanced machine learning techniques and emerging AI technologies
- Drive strategic data science initiatives that impact multiple product lines
- Mentor junior and mid-level data scientists and collaborate on cross-functional AI projects
- Present research findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership

Qualifications

Required:

- Master's/PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years of data science experience with leadership in complex ML projects
- Expert-level proficiency in Python, advanced ML frameworks, and statistical modeling
- Proven experience with Azure ML, big data technologies, and production model deployment
- Strong research background with ability to translate business problems into data science solutions

Nice to Have:

- Experience with generative AI, NLP, or computer vision applications
- Published research or contributions to the data science community
- Experience leading data science teams or mentoring junior scientists
