Responsibilities

Deliver care in line with the five core concepts of the role set out in the Framework for the Establishment of Clinical Nurse/Midwife Specialist Posts, 4th edition, NCNM 2008: Clinical Focus (Direct and Indirect Care); Service user/client Advocacy; Education and Training; Audit and Research; Consultancy (including leadership in clinical practice).

Provide specialist cardiology nursing skills, clinical leadership, education, and coordination in the delivery, development, and evaluation of cardiac rehabilitation service.

Deliver holistic, patient-centred care for cardiac patients (and their families), including education, psychosocial support, risk factor management, self-management, etc.

Develop/refine evidence-based protocols and pathways and ensure high quality of service.

Position Details
Post status: Permanent Wholetime. Service region: HSE Dublin and North East (North Dublin, Meath, Louth, Cavan, and Monaghan).
