Our work positively impacts the lives of over 12,000 people with disabilities, equipping them with the confidence, skills, and self-belief to achieve their expressed goals Join Our Team and Make a Difference Relief Care Worker Children's respite- Ref: 6781 Fixed Term Variable Hours Contract Navan Childrens Respite Service Navan, Co Meath Job Purpose The Meadows is a well established respite service providing short fun filled overnight breaks for children in county Meath, the role will be to support respite breaks for children with autism and intellectual disabilities. To support the manager and team leaders of a large dynamic team to provide a high quality and child centred service for all who attend. Children are supported to enjoy new experiences and work on their independent living skills in a safe and nurturing environment. What we're looking for: Third-level graduate, Health & Social care or equivalent is desirable. Minimum requirement of Fetac level 5 in social care or related discipline Previous experience of working with people with a disability is desirable. An understanding of current regulations and safeguarding children is required. A full clean driving licence would be a distinct advantage Your Responsibilities To support the children on their break in appropriate activities both in the community and in house. To document information, update records, and complete necessary paperwork for communication and accountability purposes. To take on keyworker role and liaise closely with children and their families to ensure a high quality service for all. To ensure all interaction with clients is approached with dignity, respect, equality and incorporates choice. To safeguard the children at all times.
