A snapshot of your peer group:

- Degree Qualified – BSc or MSc – in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management
- Ability to read and interpret MEP Drawings, Specifications & Schematics
- Proven ability to advise clients and design teams on procurement, cost, value and risk, not just cost in isolation
- Excellent numeracy, verbal and written communication skills

Our Cost Managers assist the Senior Cost Manager in managing the ‘day to day’ operations of their projects.

We are inviting applications for a MEP Cost Manager to join our Head Office growing team. We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual who demonstrates strong organizational/managerial skills and a pro-active attitude. Good reporting and communication skills, the ability to work in a team environment, and computer literacy are essential.

Duties include:

- Assisting on feasibility studies and writing procurement reports
- Estimating and cost planning to include producing and presenting the final cost plan
- Producing full quantities measure
- Tendering and procuring, including managing the pre-qualification stage
- Dealing effectively with post contract cost variances and the change control processes
- Taking personal responsibility for making cost checks and carrying out valuations on larger projects and in all cases ensuring that timely and accurate cost checking and valuation takes place
- Producing monthly post contract cost reports and presenting them to the client
- Negotiating and agreeing final accounts
- Interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages

You will be joining a niche practice area within KPMG, with a team of 50 people and growing.
