Galway, Ireland Stantec Consulting International Ltd. Full time

We have a new opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join our Water Sector team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, managing multidisciplinary projects, ensuring technical excellence, stakeholder satisfaction, and on-time, on-budget delivery of water-related projects and programmes for our key clients.

Stantec is an industry-leading consultancy within the Water Sector. We are involved in a wide variety of projects across the sector, including water resources, wastewater networks and treatment, water treatment and supply, flood mitigation, and other specialist areas. Our success has driven our growth, and this new opportunity is part of that expansion.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will work closely with our multi-disciplinary teams to deliver complex projects throughout the project lifecycle. Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality are key responsibilities. Excellent client service is a core expectation for our Project Managers.

You will likely oversee a portfolio of water sector projects and proactively identify and mitigate potential risks. Managing project budgets and resources effectively will be essential to ensure project success. There will also be opportunities to work directly with client teams, managing projects or programmes as part of a PMO role.

As a member of the Project Management community at Stantec, you will be supported in your career development.

If you are excited by the prospect of joining a team leading innovative and sustainable solutions in the water sector, we would love to hear from you.

About You

To be considered, you should have prior project management experience, ideally within water, energy, or related utility/infrastructure sectors, with at least 10 years of post-graduate experience.

An industry-recognized project management qualification such as the APM’s Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or similar is preferred.

You should have experience managing multiple deadlines and building successful relationships with stakeholders. A track record of proactive risk management and mitigation is also important.

You should embody our passion for innovation and client service, with ambitions to contribute to the team’s growth and success within the sector.
