Our client is a well-established and expanding Chartered Accountancy Practice based in Dundalk, Co. Louth. This is an outstanding opportunity for a Qualified Accountant with strong audit experience to join a supportive team within a firm that values its people and offers clear opportunities for career growth.
This position is ideal for an experienced Audit Senior seeking to manage a diverse portfolio of clients, mentor junior team members, and gain exposure to a wide variety of sectors within a practice renowned for its professionalism and collaborative culture.
As an Audit Senior, your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing and leading audits for a portfolio of SME and corporate clients.
- Supervising, mentoring, and reviewing the work of junior staff.
- Preparing statutory financial statements and assisting with regulatory filings.
- Overseeing monthly and quarterly management accounts and reconciliations.
- Reviewing cash flow, managing supplier payments, and conducting overhead analysis.
- Liaising directly with clients to deliver valuable financial insights and recommendations.
- Supporting senior management on ad‑hoc business and process improvement projects.
Requirements
- Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with a minimum of 1 year’s post‑qualification experience.
- Previous experience in a practice environment is essential, particularly within audit.
- Strong technical expertise in audit, accounting, and compliance.
- Proven ability to manage multiple client relationships effectively.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a high‑performing team.
