Certified Order Entry Technician - Dublin

Are you task oriented, computer literate, and a team player? Do you have strong analytical skills? Methodical and detail oriented? If so, you may be the perfect fit for our team. Gayco Healthcare is looking for a certified order entry technician responsible for entering prescriptions and refills into the pharmacy system with both speed and accuracy in order for customers to receive medications and medical supplies in a timely manner. Certified order entry technicians work under the pharmacists' direct supervision.

- Inputs prescription orders for medicinal agents; oral, topical, parenteral, etc. in a timely and accurate manner.
- Communicates with nurses at facilities concerning certain clarifications or requests.
- Knowledge and experience with Framework and DocuTrack are a plus.
- Long-term care pharmacy experience is preferred.
- Must be computer literate with excellent keyboarding skills; good verbal and written communication skills; and strong math and analytical skills.
- Must be a licensed pharmacy technician with the State of Georgia and a certified pharmacy technician.

Customer Care Technician - Dublin

Gayco Healthcare is looking for a customer service technician responsible for superior customer service to all Gayco Healthcare customers. This position answers multi-line phone, takes care of the callers' needs routing calls appropriately. A customer service technician is a licensed pharmacy technician with the State of Georgia, who processes refill orders, researches orders, and sorts orders for distribution to other areas of the pharmacy. Knowledge and experience with Framework LTC is a plus. Long-term care pharmacy experience is preferred. Must be computer literate with excellent keyboarding skills; good verbal and written communication skills; ability to multi-task, and strong math and analytical skills.

Summary – Dispensing and Pharmacy Support

Summary responsibilities include assisting the pharmacist in the preparation and distribution of medications for long-term care facilities based on physician orders and prescriptions.

- Follows the company’s quality and customer service standards, policies and procedures, and state/federal guidelines.
- Fills prescription orders for all medicinal agents; oral, topical, parenteral, etc.
- Determines prescription assignment for dosage, drug choice, administration, and possible reactions/interactions.
- Supervises technicians in prescription data entry, packing oral medications, label and card preparation, and assists when necessary.
- Supervises technicians in IV mixtures and compounding; verifies accuracy of peer pharmacists/' finished work.
- Directs timely delivery of medications and supplies to facilities; answers pharmacy-related questions and concerns using drug information systems.
- May assist with special projects; rotates work schedule (opening/closing); compounds prescriptions as needed.
- Offers cost-effective/therapeutic alternatives to non-insurance covered items; monitors patient lab results related to dose adjustments; may provide in-services to facilities.
- Accepts/initates interactions with physicians and staff for verbal orders for controlled medications; may consult long-term care facilities per regulations.
- Focuses on customer needs and maintains relationships with customers; performs other duties as assigned.
