Dublin, Dublin City, Ireland September Consulting Ltd Full time
Meta designs, builds, leases and operates the most innovative and efficient data centers in the world and supports them with 100% renewable energy as part of our goal to maintain net-zero emissions for our operations today, and achieve net-zero emissions across our supply chain by 2030. Meta is seeking an experienced and outgoing individual to join our Data Center Policy team on a fixed term basis to support our strategic engagement on policy issues that impact data center operations in Europe.

Public policy managers work internally to monitor and research current and relevant public policy issues. A typical public policy manager will develop and manage campaign strategies for both individual stakeholders and multi-stakeholder coalitions, including communications plans, third-party outreach efforts, timelines and measurement/evaluation. You must have direct experience developing and successfully implementing government affairs and outreach strategies, including policies that relate to energy and sustainability. This role will partner closely with our policy, community development and energy teams.

Job Responsibilities:

- Support cross-functional policy analysis and advocacy initiatives related to policy proposals focused on data centers and energy across Europe, and facilitate alignment across internal and external cross functional teams.
- Work in partnership with internal cross-functional partners and external consultants to identify emerging policy issues that relate to data centers and energy and assess the potential impact to Meta data center operations.
- Identify and track data center and energy related legislation across Europe, manage review from cross-functional partners, and consolidate feedback.
- Prepare summary documentation and memos on data center related policies and issues to support external engagement and drive internal alignment.
- Work cross-functionally with Data Center, Legal, Communications, and global policy teams to build and drive policies that guide responsible data center development.
- Monitor and research current and relevant emerging public policy issues and thought leaders.
- Coordinate across multiple internal teams – such as our in-house research, social media, creative, and media relations teams – to incorporate their skill sets into overall campaign strategy and ensure flawless execution of the client's priorities.
- Manage client expectations while maintaining the company's unwavering standards for honesty and ethics, earning clients' respect, trust and confidence.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience in internet technologies, security, privacy, integrity, safety, content moderation and the surrounding policy environments.
- Experience relating to government relations and/or policy issues.
- Experience executing cross-functional policy campaigns domestically and/or internationally.
