Senior Manager – Sustainability & ESG
About the Role
Our client, one of the largest Airline Groups in the world are looking for an accomplished and proactive Senior Manager to lead their Sustainability and ESG initiatives. This role is based at their headquarters in Dublin and reports directly to the Deputy Director of Sustainability & Finance.
The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with sustainability regulations, supporting the company’s leadership in environmental responsibility, and advancing its ESG goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the collection and preparation of data for compliance with CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive).
- Ensure the effectiveness of internal controls supporting CSRD compliance and coordinate with auditors as needed.
- Prepare and manage disclosures for CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project).
- Collaborate with ESG rating agencies to maintain and improve performance metrics.
- Stay informed about developments in aviation sustainability, providing insights and strategies for improvement.
- Track and report on key ESG metrics and progress against established targets.
- Prepare reports and analyses for ad hoc requests.
Qualifications & Experience
- A degree in environmental science, engineering, finance, or a related discipline.
- At least two years of professional experience preferably with a focus on sustainability and leading CSRD projects to ensure timely delivery and compliance with the ESRS framework, and effectively implementing the project roadmap
- Experience analyzing data to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement in sustainability practices
- Outstanding communication abilities and the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders.
- A deep commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship
