Scope of the Role The NPD Manager is responsible for overseeing the NPD functions of DMC Foods. They are responsible for a team comprising of NPD Chefs and Specifications Technologists. Responsibilities The below responsibilities are to be demonstrated through direct action (but are not limited to) the following: • Leading and managing the Company’s NPD Department in the developing of innovative product ideas from

concept to launch,

• Ensuring products meet quality and regulatory standards,

• Analysing market trends and customer needs and liaising with the Commercial Team,

• Implementing NPD procedures, working with the wider team to ensure NPD procedures are implemented

fully.

• Managing timelines and budgets,

• Evaluating product performance post-launch,

• Available for assistance with external audits.

• Ad hoc duties as requested by Line Manager.

Experience and Knowledge:

• 3rd level Degree in a food related discipline

• Experience in Product Development within a food manufacturing environment.

• An understanding of food safety, legality, and compliance with EU &UK legislation.

• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team

• Excellent communication and influencing skills, with a passion for driving change.

• Ability to oversee budget management and drive the completion of site and customer KPIs.

• A proficient user of computer applications, i.e.: Excel, Word and PowerPoint

• Strong organisational skills giving attention to detail
