Senior Mechanical Engineer €60,000€75,000 DOE | Hybrid (Ireland) An established multidisciplinary consultancy based in Cork City is looking to appoint a Senior Mechanical Engineer to strengthen their expanding team. This role provides a flexible hybrid model and the opportunity to contribute to a diverse portfolio of landmark projects across multiple industries, including commercial, residential, retail, healthcare, education, leisure, and industrial. Project values vary from small-scale upgrades to complex multi-million-euro developments, offering excellent variety and professional growth. Responsibilities: Take ownership of mechanical engineering and building services design strategies across multiple project types. Ensure project delivery meets quality standards, timelines, and client expectations. Produce and oversee detailed mechanical designs across sectors such as healthcare, retail, industrial, education, residential, and commercial. Carry out and manage site inspections, surveys, and technical assessments. Prepare and approve technical calculations, specifications, and engineering reports. Collaborate closely with internal teams, external consultants, contractors, and suppliers. Contribute to tender submissions, project budgets, and fee proposals. Maintain strong client relationships throughout all project stages. Act as a company representative at client meetings, presentations, and technical reviews. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to junior engineers within the team. Requirements: Degree (Level 7 or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering. 5+ years experience in a mechanical/building services engineering role. Demonstrated experience in mechanical design and building services delivery. Proficiency in design software and a solid understanding of industry standards. Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate projects effectively. Full Irish driving licence is essential. Chartered Engineer status (or actively working towards with company support).
