Overview Trinseo is seeking an SAP Solution Architect Manager, Finance to lead IT digital collaboration with the Finance organization. This role manages the integration of all Finance applications leveraged within Trinseo and serves as the owner of IT’s relationship with Finance. The candidate will develop an architectural blueprint and technology roadmap aligning IT, business goals, and the finance department strategy, while overseeing day-to-day issue resolution, enhancements, and projects.
The Senior Manager, Solution Architect will manage internal and external resources and engage with IT leaders, business leadership, and other senior stakeholders to ensure appropriate process and module integration across the enterprise. The role drives the design and implementation of new business processes within the organizational structure and leads the SAP Finance solution design in SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA, along with other related applications. The position has 3 direct reports (2 SAP Solution Analysts and 1 IT Business Partner) and 6 AMS resources, and will lead the Digital transformation strategy in collaboration with the IT leadership team.
Responsibilities Provide solution oversight, integration architecture, and architectural governance for product solutions in alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
Understand the Finance business strategy and work with Finance stakeholders and the IT team to define business requirements.
Partner with key stakeholders to create technology solutions and roadmaps aligned to architecture principles, leveraging common solutions and services to meet Trinseo financial targets.
Oversee all aspects of application solution development, including documentation, change/release management, and SDLC processes; assist with complex technical problems and coordinate multiple deliverables.
Manage routine operational activities and service delivery of third-party vendors.
Mentor architects, SAP analysts, and IT Business Partners on application design and relationship management techniques.
Research and advise functional leadership on industry best practices, trends, and SAP/application functionality in support of IT strategy.
Qualifications Minimum Education Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, Finance, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
15+ years of hands-on SAP Finance and Controlling (FICO) experience with minimum 2 full lifecycle implementations or complex integration projects in an SAP Finance Solutions Architecture lead role.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Deep knowledge of SAP Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules in SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA; core areas include General Accounting & Reporting, Finance period-end closing, Product Costing/Controlling, Treasury, Credit Management, Indirect Tax, Transfer Pricing, Accounts Receivable/Payable, Intercompany, Project Systems, Fixed Assets, Group Reporting, Bank/Cash, Audit and Regulatory Reporting, and Central Finance in ECC and S/4HANA.
Experience in architecture for Finance with end-to-end processes (e.g., Order-to-Cash, Manufacturing, Plant Maintenance, Source-to-Pay, and Logistics).
Experience with cross-application process modeling and integration with SAP and non-SAP solutions.
Strong relationship-building, communication, and collaboration skills; capable of working with limited oversight.
Knowledge of project management techniques; PMP and Six Sigma designation preferred.
Hands-on SDLC knowledge (waterfall and agile); ability to manage ambiguity and operate in a global, dispersed organization.
Strong enterprise business acumen and ability to influence stakeholders.
