Director Risk | Aircraft Leasing | Limerick, Ireland

About the Job: A well-backed aircraft leasing platform is looking to appoint a Director Risk to play a key role in developing and managing its risk function. Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a strategic position with responsibility for shaping risk frameworks, governance, and oversight across the platform. It’s a unique opportunity to make a high-impact contribution to a fast-growing aviation investment business.

Key Responsibilities

- Establish and enhance risk frameworks, policies, and standards.

- Provide strategic risk analysis and reporting to senior leadership and the board.

- Evaluate airline credit profiles and portfolio exposures.

- Support transaction reviews, pricing, and risk-adjusted return assessments.

- Contribute to aircraft acquisition and disposal evaluations, including financial modelling.

- Monitor global aviation market trends to inform business strategy.

- Oversee portfolio reviews and semi-annual valuations.

Qualifications

- Degree in finance, economics, risk management, mathematics, or a related field.

- Strong background in financial modelling and data analysis.

- Significant experience in risk management within aircraft leasing.

- In-depth understanding of airline credit risk, aircraft economics, and portfolio management.

- Excellent communication skills, with proven experience engaging at senior/board level.
