This Rack Decom Manager will manage a team that executes the decommission, tracking, and audits of all media. This includes but is not limited to all media types (disks, solid state disks, flash cards etc). The Rack Decom Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all operational processes and SLA's are met and must guide and mentor the team to ensure all work is carried out safely and securely.

Key job responsibilities
Daily duties include:

- Routinely review ticket queue for large events and address accordingly
- Coordinate change management resources
- Guide, train and educate data staff on the best practices related to all service owner issues
- Manage and deliver mid-size projects
- Recommend, document, and oversee policies and procedures to meet industry best practices and to meet required SLAs
- Manage a diverse team of decom technicians with varying skills
- Provide weekly report to the Cluster Manager
- Maintain the on-call schedule coordinating absence and vacations
- Recruit and train decom technicians to ensure appropriate staffing levels
- Write and deliver performance reviews for staff

Your work will help to maintain one of the world's largest information system infrastructures.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience managing large scale projects
- Experience of leading an IT Function or similar role
- Experience in management/team lead/ training function

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience managing IT infrastructure projects from initiation to closure
- Experience with project management best practices such as PMI, Waterfall, and Agile
- PMP Certification & Six Sigma Green Belt
