Mechanical Engineer Location: Co. Cavan Salary: €40,000 - €45,000 About the Position We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing company in Co. Cavan. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting the design, development, and optimisation of manufacturing processes and machinery. What Youll Do Develop and implement mechanical designs for manufacturing equipment and systems. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues to ensure minimal downtime and efficient production processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise production workflows and equipment performance. Support new product introductions by working on process design, validation, and testing. Maintain and update technical documentation, including design specifications and process flow diagrams. Conduct routine inspections and oversee preventative maintenance plans for machinery. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for cost-saving and efficiency improvements. What Were Looking For Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in machinery design or process engineering. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks), and technical drawings. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a hands-on approach. Ability to work collaboratively with teams across production, quality, and maintenance. A proactive mindset focused on improving processes and delivering results.
