Qualified Agricultural Machinery Technician Location: Alan Douglas Machinery, Johnstownbridge, Enfield, Co. Meath Employment Type: Full-time (40-hour week, opening hours are Monday to Friday 8:30AM/5:30PM) We are currently seeking a Qualified Agricultural Machinery Technician to join our team. This role is suited to someone with strong technical ability, solid experience with modern agricultural machinery, and a professional approach to their work. About the Role The successful candidate will carry out maintenance, repairs, diagnostics, and pre-delivery inspections on a wide range of agricultural tractors and machinery. They will also ensure all work is recorded accurately and completed to company and dealer standards. Key Responsibilities Repair and maintain new and used tractors and farm machinery Carry out PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) on new machinery Use diagnostic tools to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical faults Liaise with the workshop manager regarding required repairs and job progress Complete all paperwork and service reports to company and dealer requirements Provide technical support and assistance to customers when needed Follow all health and safety procedures Represent the company in a professional, courteous manner Work flexibly as required, including extended hours during busy periods Requirements Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role. Strong knowledge of agricultural tractors and machinery (essential) Understanding of modern engine, gearbox, and hydraulic systems Familiarity with diagnostic software and equipment Excellent computer, communication, and organisational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexible and diligent approach to work Full, clean driving licence Training & Development Ongoing manufacturer and in-house training will be provided Please note: we can only consider applications from candidates who meet the criteria listed above.
