Job Description

Health & Safety Advisor Join our team as Health & Safety Advisor and become a key contributor to our growing Health & Safety Consultancy team. This is an exciting opportunity to significantly impact safety standards across a diverse portfolio of projects, from large-scale renewable energy developments to general construction. You will be instrumental in the delivery and expansion of our essential consultancy services. This role offers an exciting platform for a dedicated professional to further develop their Health & Safety Management skills and assume a pivotal role in project safety from inception to completion.

What You’ll Bring to MKO

- You will be responsible for providing Occupational Health & Safety and construction safety consultancy services to MKO clients.

- Fulfil the role of Project Supervisor for the Design Process (PSDP) on a wide range of renewable energy and construction projects.

- Seek to extend the breadth and reach of our Health & Safety Consultancy services through proactive client engagement and quality service delivery.

- Promote and embed a strong safety culture throughout MKO.

- Conduct and document auditing, inspections, accident or incident investigations to drive continuous improvement.

- Perform Company Health & Safety reviews and audits for clients.

- Develop and deliver effective staff Health & Safety training plans.

What We’re Looking for in You

- A third-level qualification (degree or equivalent) in Safety and Health at Work or a closely related field.

- A minimum of 2 years of work experience in a dedicated health & safety role, with practical experience in the duties outlined above.

- Proven experience in fulfilling and coordinating the role of Project Supervisor for the Design Process (PSDP).

- Demonstrated ability in undertaking site inspections, audits, and thorough incident investigations.

- Experience in conducting Health & Safety reviews and audits, including the development of staff training plans.

Ideally, you will also possess:

- PSDP Training Course completion.

- IOSH Managing Safely Certification or equivalent.

- QQI Level 6 Manual Handling Instructor certification.

- Solas accredited Safe pass trainer certification.
