On behalf of our Manufacturing Client in Shannon, we are currently sourcing a Global Materials & Planning Operations Leader to join their Team.
About the role:
This role is responsible for planning and scheduling the materials required for the product line to execute the business. Works to translate the sales demand into physical orders and ensures they are delivered to meet the customer requirements. Also, manages the planning and delivery team including employee training, development, and career progression.
As a Global Materials & Planning Operations Leader, you will be responsible for:
1. Establishing the planning and delivery processes.
2. Ensuring planning and delivery processes are being implemented correctly and aligned to the Center Of Excellence governance.
3. Working with the sales and operations team to convert the demand plan into physical orders.
4. Being accountable for prioritizing the orders to meet the business goals.
5. Being responsible for executing the product line order strategies (allocations) relative to regions and manufacturing plants.
6. Providing overall planning and delivery guidance for orders.
7. Being responsible for routing orders to the various plants.
8. Managing and processing order exceptions.
9. Managing communication between the Product Line/Sales/Service Delivery with respect to order dates.
10. Planning deliveries such that inventory costs are minimized while maintaining customer commitments.
11. Working with the region Sales and Service Delivery to prioritize delivery dates as needed (push outs, pull ins).
12. Being responsible to ensure orders are appropriately maintained in SAP (aged orders, etc.) and managing global inventory strategy and execution.
13. Managing the materials planning and delivery team including employee training, development, and career progression.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
1. Have a Bachelor's in Supply Chain Management or related field or equivalent experience.
2. Have experience in order management, inventory optimization and management, asset utilization, and management.
3. Have a deep knowledge of SAP and MRP functionality.
4. Have the ability to work with and influence stakeholders.
5. Have strategic thinking with tactical execution with a sense of urgency.
6. Be able to demonstrate experience managing and developing teams.
7. Have certifications in APICS (advantageous).
8. Have people leader experience (direct, matrix, or through influence) with demonstrated Leader of Choice capabilities (Drive Culture, Inspire People, Achieve Results, Growth Mindset).
9. Be fluent in English and eligible to work in Ireland.
