About the role

We are seeking skilled and experienced mechanical engineer to join our expanding team. The successful candidates will design and develop, mechanical and electrical systems through Stages 1 to 5 of the construction process. This challenging and rewarding position requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.

About you

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design and supervision of mechanical building services for projects through stages 1 to 5 of the design and construction process. The role involves the designing of mechanical systems, as well as the ability to collaborate with our multidisciplinary team of engineers and stakeholders. You will play a critical role in developing complex building systems and technologies used in a wide range of ORS building projects.

Responsibilities:

- Checking and reviewing plans and calculations for Mechanical Services systems prepared by Junior Engineers
-Maintain records and files of all completed engineering work
-Supervision of Junior engineering design staff
-Manage project workflow program
-Managing of project stakeholders
-Attendance and recording of any project specific/design meeting
-Management of on-site contractors
-Completion of Site surveys and reports
-Provide engineering support to Resident Engineers and senior design staff
-Support ad-hoc activities assigned by senior staff from time to time
Requirements:

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in building services, mechanical engineering or a related engineering field
- 3-5 years of experience in designing and developing building mechanical and electrical systems
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Awareness of CIBSE, ASHRAE, BS, IS and EN Standards
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite of Software
- Any other engineering analysis software is an advantage
- Understanding and awareness of sustainable engineering systems design
