The client –

Our client is a friendly, progressive, thriving medium-sized firm of accountants based in Wexford.

Due to recent business wins and plans to grow the firm further, they require a Senior Practice Accountant on a full-time basis to help them achieve their goals.

The role will focus on working with the SME client base in the South East.

Role responsibilities –

1. Providing Accountancy Services to a bureau of clients which will include:
2. Preparation of monthly/quarterly management accounts
3. Preparation of Unaudited Year-End Statutory Accounts
4. Assisting/advising clients with systems of financial control
5. Company Secretarial compliance with the Companies Office
6. Guide clients in change management processes, from current practices to the adoption of best practice, using technology, for greater efficiencies and growth.
7. Become proficient in various accounting software programs (Surf, Receipt Bank, QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) to make qualified recommendations of packages, accounting tools and connected app functionality to clients to support their accounting needs.
8. Help drive the firm’s accounting technology strategy to best serve their clients and project manage the roll out of new accounting solutions.

About you –

1. ACA or ACCA Qualified
2. Minimum of 4 years+ relevant post-qualified work experience
3. Working knowledge of accounting software packages such as Relate, Surf or similar with a high aptitude and interest for using new software.
4. Client-oriented with initiative, enthusiasm and problem-solving attitude.
5. Excellent organisational skills, time-management and communication skills.
