What is the role and company?
Join a large consulting firm in their finance transformation and tech team. This role requires a Senior Project Manager to spearhead a transformative, long-term Oracle EPM Cloud programme. With an increasing workload and upcoming additional rollouts of new functionality and regional scope, this role is a new function which has just been released.
What will I be doing?
Identify and manage project dependencies, risks, issues, decisions, and clearly track and communicate implications on the critical path.
Conduct project lessons learned and create a recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
Estimate necessary resources and participants to achieve project objectives.
Engage with project stakeholders on a continuous basis.
Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
Communicate project expectations, progress reports, status updates, and RAID logs to team members and stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
Direct the planning, scoping, and execution of the Oracle EPM Cloud project across all EPM modules.
Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks, and develop contingency plans where necessary.
Establish and uphold governance structures to monitor project progress and manage escalation effectively.
Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans detailing phases, dependencies, timelines, milestones, deliverables, and resource allocation.
Set and consistently manage project expectations with team members, stakeholders, business owners, sponsors, and senior management.
Lead, inspire, and develop team members and colleagues to cultivate a high-performance culture.
Create a collaborative and positive change environment, garnering support and buy-in from all stakeholders.
Exemplify exemplary leadership qualities within the Finance team and the broader organization, bringing vision, credibility, and accountability to the role.
Establish highly effective program governance and communication structures with relevant stakeholders.
Foster close working relationships with senior finance management across all divisions.
What experience and skills do I require?
Extensive knowledge of Finance technology solutions and implementation experience.
Project management qualifications are an advantage; PMI, PMP or related.
Experience as a functional/technical consultant in Oracle EPM Cloud modules is a plus.
Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to identify key issues and communicate them effectively and succinctly to all audiences, including the CFO.
Proven experience in managing large-scale, multi-year finance transformation projects with Oracle EPM Cloud modules (FCCS, TRCS, ARCS, Planning, Narrative Reporting, and EDM).
Solid experience in managing teams and building consensus/collaborative delivery of goals.
Strong process, technical, and analytical skills, coupled with commercial acumen.
Exceptional analytical and coordination skills, taking accountability for ideas from inception to delivery in an environment requiring robust metrics to confirm success.
