
Manager/Associate Director, Medical Advisor

As a Medical Advisor, you will lead the country Franchise Medical Team, develop the Franchise Medical Strategy, and execute it through an operational Medical Plan. You will coach and develop team members and represent Medical in the country Franchise Leadership Team.
You will ensure that material is scientifically rigorous, presented with necessary context for appropriate data interpretation, and understandable for the US customer audience, aligned with US healthcare professional informational needs.

Job Description
This role supports the US region and requires full coverage during US Eastern Standard Time (EST) business hours. The expected working hours are from 14:00 – 22:00 GMT/CET -1. There may be times when you need to work or be in the office for local events, requiring flexible hours.
Major accountabilities:
- Provide high-quality medical review of promotional and non-promotional materials, ensuring scientific accuracy, currency, proper substantiation, and appropriate context for data interpretation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align tactics with strategies for the Innovative Medicines portfolio.
- Demonstrate agility and flexibility by being available during US business hours for collaboration and urgent needs.
- Attend and present at MAP meetings.
- Align with TA medical director on marketing materials.
- Identify emerging medical trends and issues, sharing insights with relevant personnel.
- Support responses to unsolicited medical inquiries from HCPs, recording information per guidelines.
- Contribute to and approve medical response documents for HCP inquiries.
- Ensure alignment of clinical information strategy across Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Sales functions.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
- PharmD, healthcare-related PhD, or MD with relevant industry or medical review experience.
- Preferably with pharmaceutical industry experience; 3+ years in managerial roles or 5-7+ years in senior medical review, including experience with US promotional review, biostatistics, clinical data, and medical promotion regulations.
- Specialty training or advanced degrees in relevant therapeutic areas are desirable.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, clinical trial design, pharmacology, and related fields.
- Knowledge of drug information processes and adverse event reporting is preferred.
- Proven literature analysis skills and strong English language assessment skills.
- Excellent communication skills and business acumen, especially in US English.
- Understanding of regulatory and clinical landscapes for risk assessment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and tech-savvy.
Employees are generally expected to be in their current role for at least 12 months before applying for a new role, with approval required for transfers.
