Role
Sales Development Representative (SDR) plays a critical role in driving awareness and the adoption of Cohesity’s solutions. This foundational role is suited for individuals who are passionate about starting a career in sales. The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities and contributing to the development of a strong and sustainable sales pipeline.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with team members to build and refine outbound prospecting lists.
- Identify key decision-makers within target accounts.
- Create and execute multi-channel outreach sequences (phone, email, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Conduct discovery calls to assess prospective needs and introduce Cohesity solutions.
- Respond promptly to inbound leads via phone, email, LinkedIn, etc.
- Qualify leads using predefined criteria and book meetings for Account Executives to progress opportunities.
- Work closely with account executives to hand off qualified opportunities.
- Develop deep knowledge of Cohesity’s platform to confidently communicate our value proposition.
Qualifications and Experience
- Must be fluent in German.
- Enthusiasm for sales, with ideally 1+ year of relevant experience.
- Comfortable using CRM and prospecting tools.
- Experience with researching companies, cold calling, emailing, and navigating organizational hierarchies.
- Confident in making cold calls and handling objections.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Receptive to coaching and continuous feedback.
- High level of grit and perseverance in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic and goal-oriented mindset.
- Collaborative, team-first attitude with a willingness to share knowledge and best practices.
- Self-motivated with a focus on learning and career development.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- College or bachelor’s degree.

Cohesity employees who are within a reasonable commute (e.g., within a forty-five (45) minute average travel time) work out of our core offices 2-3 days a week of their choosing.
