We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our team and contribute to a high-impact, global technology initiative. Reporting to the DevOps and Delivery Lead, this role offers the unique opportunity to influence and enhance the deployment of technology solutions that will reach millions of customers. As a key member of our DevOps team, you will drive operational excellence and play a crucial role in the success of our program.

This is a hybrid position based in WBA Dublin 02 offices.

What you will do:

1. Work with and support our DevOps teams to establish and enforce best practices and standards.
2. Review and enhance deployment procedures to ensure they meet organizational standards and industry best practices.
3. Design and maintain Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Microsoft Azure Boards, Repos, & Pipelines.
4. Construct and manage Artifacts using JFrog & Azure Container Registry (ACR).
5. Configure and maintain deployment pipelines in Azure utilizing Kubernetes, Helm, & Docker.
6. Collaborate with architecture and other tech teams to ensure systems meet both functional and non-functional requirements.
7. Lead initiatives to automate deployment and testing processes, utilizing tools like SonarQube, Selenium, and Bash scripting to reduce manual interventions.
8. Analyse and resolve complex technical challenges with a proactive and innovative approach.
9. Build strong working relationships across teams to ensure alignment and effective execution.
10. Serve as a trusted advisor within the team, fostering collaboration and mutual respect.

1. Build, maintain, & optimize build/deployment pipelines for pre-existing & new projects.
2. Drive planning sessions to align DevOps goals with organizational and team objectives.
3. Foster an automate-first mindset, ensuring automated processes are prioritized and effectively implemented.
4. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between the DevOps and program teams to optimize ways of working.
5. Showcase strong problem-solving skills, addressing system and pipeline issues proactively.

1. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant work experience.
2. 2-5 years of experience in a DevOps or similar role, with a track record of successful technology projects.
3. Strong communication and collaboration skills with abilities in mentoring and leading teams.
4. A collaborative mindset and the ability to work seamlessly with diverse, global, and remote teams.

1. CI/CD tools e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, etc.
2. Infrastructure as code IaC tools such as Terraform or other such as Ansible, etc.
3. Cloud architecture fundamentals with hands-on experience in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
4. Containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
5. Scripting languages like Python or Bash.
6. Monitoring and logging solutions such as Grafana, Prometheus, or Pingdom.
