Requirements

Advanced Analytics Program:

This program comprises a rich set of products providing insights into Credit Risk, Portfolio Optimization, and Ad Insights. We are enhancing user interfaces, moving to API and web application-based data publishing for seamless integration, utilizing new datasets and algorithms, and generating scalable big data processes.

We seek an innovative Data Engineer to lead the design and development of an Analytic Foundation, a suite of analytical capabilities with a comprehensive data platform, offered through APIs delivering data and insights from various points along a central datastore. The role involves close collaboration with other business areas to build solutions that drive customer value.

Engineers work in small, flexible teams, contributing to designing, building, and testing features ranging from UI development to backend data modeling and architecture. Our organizational structure is flexible, with teams adopting processes that suit their projects.

Examples of our products include:

- Portfolio Optimizer (PO): Uses data and analytics to identify revenue opportunities within credit and debit portfolios.
- Audiences: Uses anonymized transaction insights for targeted marketing segments.
- Credit Risk products: APIs and tools providing real-time KPIs and insights for lenders to make smarter risk decisions.

Position Responsibilities:

- Implement complex features and push analytics boundaries.
- Build and maintain scalable analytics and data models.
- Write and review high-quality, performant, well-tested code.
- Mentor junior engineers and teammates.
- Innovate and improve team development processes.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to understand user needs and develop new modules.
- Work with cross-functional teams with passionate peers.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

- 4+ years of full-stack engineering experience in an agile environment.
- Experience leading large, complex features in full-stack applications.
- Ability to work across business, data, and technical teams.
- Experience with open source tools, predictive analytics, machine learning, and statistics.
- Proficiency in Python or Scala, Spark, Hadoop (Hive, Impala, Airflow, NiFi, Scoop), SQL.
- Experience deploying data-driven applications and machine learning systems at scale.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms like Data bricks, AWS, Azure.
- Strong learning ability for new technologies.
- Customer-centric development approach.
- Passion for analytical problem-solving.
- Experience improving development processes.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Motivated, creative, and self-directed, thriving in small teams.
- Degree in Computer Science or related field with strong academic record.
