Due to continuing expansion, Summerhill Construction are seeking motivated and experienced Working Foremen (Civils) to join our team. The successful candidates will work across various projects.

The Role

Reporting to the Project manager, the ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all civils work activities onsite ensuring compliance with the regulations and the general and specific specifications of the project and will work closely with the site personnel to deliver projects to the highest possible standard.

Responsibilities

These include but are not limited to:

- Health and Safety ensuring all of the requirements are adhered to and that safety protocols on site are of the highest possible standard
- Supervise and coordinate civils trades on-site
- Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and regulatory standards
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors
- Ordering of materials – stone and concrete, drainage etc
- Monitor progress and ensure deadlines are met
- Conduct site inspections and resolve any issues that arise
- Maintain strict compliance with construction requirements

Key Skills & Experience

A successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

- CSCS card holder
- Valid Safe Pass
- Experience in groundworks and drainage, working on live roads, traffic management, footpaths, concrete and kerbing
- Ability to read interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Enthusiastic, committed self-starter with proactive approach to problem solving
- IT Literate
- Site Organisation Skills
