Technical Program Manager, LongHaul Inventory Planner, EMEA

London, UK; Dublin, Ireland

About the job

In this role, you will own and drive projects for the EMEA Network Acquisitions (GNA) Planning team. You will be involved in data-driven analysis to develop overall Network Topology plans, compiling technical requirements for network assets such as fibre and leased wavelengths in order to meet forecast demand, while complying with Network Architecture guidelines. You will support the optimisation of Google’s Production Network for scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency while maintaining the ability to meet new product rollout in a timely manner. This will be accomplished through close cross-functional collaboration and teamwork with Strategic Negotiators, varying Technical Program Managers (TPgMs) and Network Engineers across multiple teams. Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. We deliver enterprise-grade solutions that leverage Google’s cutting-edge technology, and tools that help developers build more sustainably. Customers in more than 200 countries and territories turn to Google Cloud as their trusted partner to enable growth and solve their most critical business problems.

Responsibilities

- Drive EMEA Network Planning activities for asset/infrastructure planning to support (PA) demand forecasts over time.
- Manage end-to-end repeatable, transparent and complex repeatable planning pipelines.
- Ingest, analyse, understand and rationalise demand forecasts for all EMEA related flows.
- Support a process implementation for the translation of long-term high-level (non pop specific) planning into nearer term low-level (pop specific) planning, specifically regarding unknown segment management and inventory into pre-defined databases.
- Establish data standardisation to support consumption of long-term (~5 yr) planning data, and bridging the strategic and tactical planning divide to ensure near-term planning processes are aware.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in program management.
- Experience in Network Infrastructure projects.

Preferred qualifications

- Experience in partnering with cross-functional teams to define and improve business processes to enhance automation, reduce lead time and manage changes.
- Experience in defining data standardisation and data mapping.
- Experience in Program Management, with a focus on data inventory and data science.
- Ability to adopt data-motivated approach towards solving complex issues.
- Excellent problem solving and financial skills.
