Regional operations manager

My client, an Irish owned roofing and cladding company, entering an exciting new phase of growth and international expansion. They are seeking a commercially sharp and operationally focused Regional Operations Manager to lead the successful delivery of projects across Europe. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this is a key role combining hands-on project management with strategic responsibility for operational performance, supply chain development, and regional delivery. The successful candidate will directly manage multimillion-euro projects (typically €5m+), build a reliable pipeline of suppliers and subcontractors, and strengthen labour resources across Europe. You will work closely with the commercial team to ensure profitability, efficiency, and excellence on every project, while developing long-term relationships with clients, partners, and local subcontractors. This will probably entail 2 days a week travelling to European projects. Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee the direct delivery of large-scale construction projects valued at €5m+. Lead all aspects of project operations planning, mobilisation, delivery, performance, cost control, and compliance. Build and manage a strong supply chain pipeline: suppliers, subcontractors, and local labour resources. Establish and maintain trusted relationships with local subcontractors, suppliers, and regional stakeholders. Work closely with the commercial team on project performance, profitability, and risk management. Key Requirements 810 years experience in construction project and operations management, ideally with European exposure. Proven track record in managing projects valued €5m+. Strong knowledge of construction supply chains and subcontractor management. Commercially astute, with experience driving profitability and performance on complex projects. Strong leadership skills able to manage multidisciplinary teams across multiple locations.
