Additionally, in 2024 we were awarded the Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award, which recognizes the most engaged workplace cultures in the world.***Role Overview:**## This role oversees the daily operations of the organisation’s accounting functions—including cost and general accounting, payroll, accounts payable, and receivable—while maintaining the general ledger and managing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close and reporting. It supports statutory accounting and tax compliance for Allegion plc and its Irish subsidiaries, including the preparation of financial statements under Irish and US GAAP, audit coordination, and regulatory filings. The position also supports accounting for the treasury function.**Primary Responsibilities:*** Prepare Irish consolidated financial statements in accordance with Irish Company Law and US GAAP.* Prepare Irish entity standalone financial statements in accordance with Irish Company Law and Irish GAAP (specifically FRS 102).* Lead statutory audits and support US GAAP audit queries.* Maintain accounting records in Microsoft AX and submit monthly trial balances to Hyperion.* Liaise with the internal finance team to perform month end closing accounting and reporting activities.* Manage the Irish payroll process and ensure payments to employees and other service providers are completed on time.* Produce management reports including budgeting, forecasting, and corporate cost analysis.* Coordinate Irish tax filings and act as liaison with Irish tax authorities and internal tax teams, including supporting the Group with managing tax planning and forecasting* Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and other internal control standards.* Support legal compliance and prepare filings for the Companies Registration Office (CRO).* Monitor and implement new accounting standards.* Manage lease accounting for EMEA region.* Assist with SEC filings (10-Q and 10-K).* Support the treasury manager with certain activities, such as liquidity and intercompany loan management, bank account oversight, and board documentation.* Complete all other necessary filings on a quarterly or annual basis such as BOP-40s.## Qualifications:* Degree in Accounting or Finance with a professional qualification (ICAI, CIMA, ACA, ACCA).* Minimum 5 years’ experience in industry, public accounting, or internal audit.* Strong knowledge of Irish GAAP (FRS 102), Irish Company Law, and Sarbanes-Oxley.* Experience with publicly listed companies preferred.* Proficiency in Microsoft AX and Hyperion is advantageous.* Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills.* Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Forms).## ****We Celebrate Who We Are****Allegion is committed to building and maintaining a diverse and inclusive workplace.
