Position Overview: As a Technical Writer your remit will be to deliver user and developer facing content to support the delivery of state-of-the-art software solutions. Working closely with development teams (Engineering & AI) and product leads, you will bridge the gap between the end-users and technology. How you'll contribute: Collaborate with subject matter experts, developers, and other stakeholders to gather information and understand complex technical concepts. Create clear, concise, and well-organized documentation, including user guides, manuals, API documentation, and release notes. Collaborate with design and product teams to provide input on user interface (UI) text, including labels, tooltips, and error messages, ensuring the in-product language is clear, helpful, and aligns with the overall user experience. Translate technical jargon into user-friendly language to ensure documentation is accessible to a diverse audience. Stay up-to-date with product updates and changes, collaborating with development teams to ensure accurate and timely documentation. Organize and maintain a documentation library, ensuring that information is easily accessible and searchable. Conduct reviews and updates of existing documentation to reflect changes in software or hardware configurations. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure documentation meets industry standards and regulatory requirements. Develop and maintain documentation templates, style guides, and best practices to ensure consistency across all materials. Provide input and feedback during product development to improve the user experience and ease of documentation. Continuously improve documentation processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Education and Experience (required): Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Communication, Computer Science, or a related field. Proven experience as a technical writer, preferably in a technology or software development environment. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (required): Excellent writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and clarity. Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and communicate them in a user-friendly manner. Familiarity with documentation tools and version control systems. Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines. Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Proficiency in using documentation tools such as Markdown, Adobe FrameMaker, or others. Knowledge of industry-standard documentation practices and standards. Adaptability and a proactive approach to staying informed about evolving technologies and industry trends.
