Environmental Impact Assessment Specialist

Matrix Recruitment is seeking to recruit an Environmental Impact Assessment Specialist for our client in the renewables sector based in the Kildare region.
This is a permanent position with hybrid flexibility.
You will ensure renewable energy projects are environmentally responsible, legally compliant, and considerate of local communities.
Your new job
Key duties & responsibilities:
1. Lead the writing and delivery of Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIAR) and Natura Impact Statements (NIS) for large renewable energy projects.
2. Advise project teams on environmental and planning issues to help ensure legal compliance and project success.
3. Stay updated on planning and environmental laws and contribute to company responses or submissions.
4. Support stakeholder engagement and community consultation
5. Manage and coordinate external consultants and internal teams to deliver high-quality environmental reports on time.
What are we looking for?
- Level 8 Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related disciplines.
- EIA Expertise: 5+ years in preparing Environmental Impact Assessments for large projects.
- EIA experience is key, specifically working on EIA reports in the Irish market.
- EIA/AA pre-planning process experience.
