About the Role: A Senior Electrician role at EPS Group involves installation, commissioning, and testing of electrical control systems, primarily for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. We require a qualified electrician with proven industrial experience, and a specific background in water or wastewater is advantageous. This role is based at our Naas branch covering the Leinster region. Key responsibilities: Electrical system installation: Installing electrical control systems for water and wastewater infrastructure. Commissioning and testing: Testing and commissioning these electrical control systems to ensure they function correctly. Maintenance: Performing preventative and reactive maintenance on electrical systems within the Service Division. Electrical Design and supervision work on water, wastewater pumping and treatment installations with instrumentation and controls Assisting as Electrical Supervisor on large projects where additional support is required. Understanding of PLC based automation & SCADA systems for Water Treatment Plants (WTP) and Waste Water Treatment Plants (WwTP). Electrical systems fault finding and rectification Supervision and snagging of sub-contractors work Carrying out site inspections and clearly reporting findings to area supervisors. Working with various teams to share expectations and best practices in relation to inspections and reporting. Scoping and pricing works, preparing quotations, and assisting with technical input before jobs are awarded. Delivering training to staff from our regional training centre. Supporting site crews with complex site issues or fault-finding tasks. Key Competencies and Skills: A minimum of 5 years, post apprenticeship work within water or wastewater treatment industry or contracting, pumps, instrumentation, automation and SCADA is a requirement Good electrical control systems knowledge & electrical fault finding in general Working with pumps, motors, chemical dosing equipment (incl pumps & controllers), control panels, instruments Working knowledge of PLCs and general automation Some Waste Water Treatment Plant and Water treatment plant experience would be beneficial Qualifications: RECI or equivalent certified electrician with 5 years post apprenticeship work experience Compensation Package: Competitive salary and benefits package Opportunities for professional development and career growth CPD accredited employer A collaborative and supportive work environment Laptop or desktop and work mobile phone provided Flexible working options, dependent on location and role requirements See company website for more information on the benefits of working in EPS Group Wewelcomespeculativeapplicationsfromindividualsofalllevels.
