Location: Dublin, Cork or Tipperary Employment Type: Full time Salary: €Neg Reporting To: Head of Estimating About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Bid Writing Specialist to join our clients dynamic team. This pivotal role involves crafting winning bids and proposals for high-value construction projects across residential, commercial and public sector domains. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction processes, procurement frameworks, and the ability to translate technical information into persuasive, client-focused content. Key Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end bid writing process for public and private sector tenders. Collaborate with estimators, quantity surveyors, project managers, and senior leadership to gather technical input and develop compelling proposals. Interpret tender documents, PQQs, and ITTs to ensure full compliance and strategic alignment. Write, edit, and proofread bid content, ensuring clarity, consistency, and impact. Develop reusable content libraries and maintain up-to-date case studies, CVs, and project profiles. Manage bid timelines and submission schedules, ensuring all deadlines are met. Conduct post-bid reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of bid strategies. Conduct post-bid reviews to analyse strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement. Keep up to date with industry trends, client needs, and best practices in bid writing. Requirements Proven experience in bid writing within the construction or built environment sector. Exceptional written communication and storytelling skills. Strong understanding of procurement processes Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple bids simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with bid management tools (e.g., InDesign, Canva, Adobe Professional etc) is a plus. Desirable Attributes Strategic thinker with a commercial mindset. Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills. High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
