Healthcare Direct is a leading provider of therapy services in Ireland, and we're currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team in Kilkenny on a part-time basis. Healthcare Direct have a highly experienced team of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists supported by Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Managers. We specialise in providing healthcare services to the public and private sectors as well as Occupational Health services to employees of companies and organisations right across Ireland. We provide patient centred quality care in a wide range of settings including nursing and residential care settings, community hospitals, acute inpatient wards, specialist care centres, private company premises and also private sessions in patients homes. As such, we see a broad and diverse range of clinical presentations. Working as an Occupational Therapist in our team will involve: Deliver a comprehensive Occupational Therapy service to Adults and Older Adults consisting of physical, sensory and cognitive assessment and intervention. Devise and carry out appropriate assessments e.g., seating, hoist & slings, functional and meaningful activities of daily living. Assist individuals in becoming independent following physical, social, emotional and mental-health difficulties. Work with other Healthcare Professionals such as Nurses, Social Worker, Speech & Language Therapists, Physiotherapists etc. Liaise with patients families and other relevant agencies. Active engagement in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) e.g., Staff Training Days. Participate in regular service review meetings with our clients. The post holder will require the following: AOTI and CORU Registration A broad range of under-graduate clinical experience with Elderly care being desirable but not essential Strong written and verbal skills Will require own transport, clean drivers license, use of a car and a Smart Phone What We Offer: At Healthcare Direct, we value our team members and are committed to supporting their professional development.
