A part - time and permanent position has arisen for an Urgent Care Physician working in our Cork clinic. What's on offer: Competitive salary Performance related bonus Company pension - up to 10% employer contribution Health insurance Income protection Study leave Medical indemnity paid by Vhi Role Purpose Provide care to patients presenting with a range of urgent care presentations Treat patients who attend the clinic for consultation, aged from 12months Minor injuries; including: sprains, fractures and wounds Minor illnesses Initial interpretation of x-rays and ECGs Facilitating referrals to ED/ specialists where indicated Education & Experience Registered with the Irish Medical Council. Minimum of 5 years post graduate experience in clinical practice, including significant experience in general practice and a minimum of 2 years recent urgent care/ emergency medicine experience. Training in emergency medicine, general practice or other postgraduate qualification would be highly beneficial. 6 months experience with paediatric patients is desirable. Flexibility across a 7-day roster. BLS Skills and Abilities Patient focused Excellent interpersonal skills Strong communication skills Good knowledge of risk management and clinical audit Demonstrated alignment to the Vhi values Vhi is an equal opportunities employer.
