Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (CNM2) - Triage Endoscopy (Permanent Contract, Full time Hours) The CNM2 Triage Endoscopy will report to the CNM3 Endoscopy, and is professionally accountable to the Assistant Director of Nursing and the Director of Nursing. Responsibilities Include: Manage patient care to ensure the highest professional standards using an evidence based, care planning approach. Provide a high level of professional and clinical leadership. Be responsible for the co-ordination, assessment, planning, delivery and review of service user care by all staff in designated area(s). Provide safe, comprehensive nursing care to service users according to the Code of Professional Conduct as laid down by the Bord Altranais agus Cnimhseachais na hireann (NMBI / Nursing Midwifery Board Ireland) and Professional Clinical Guidelines. Engage in continuing professional development by keeping up to date with nursing literature, recent nursing research and new developments in nursing management, education, and practice and to attend staff study days as considered appropriate. Provide a high level of professional and clinical leadership. Provide supervision and assist in the development of knowledge, skills and attitudes of staff and assigned students. Carry out Performance Management reviews. Ensure all performance deficits are addressed in a timely manner. Ensure that modern standards of clinical nursing care are in operation and that regular monitoring of nursing care is undertaken through audit. Use the outcomes of audit to develop action plans and support their implementation. Educate all nursing and nursing support staff to develop excellent work practises. Effective communication skills. Ability to build and maintain relationships. Ability to present information in a clear and concise manner. Participate and cooperate with legislative and regulatory requirements regarding quality, risk, and safety. Participate and cooperate with local quality, risk and safety initiatives as required. Eligibility Criteria: Are registered in the General division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by the NMBI or entitled to be so registered. Have at least 5 years post registration experience of which 2 must be in the speciality or related area of Endoscopy. Candidates must demonstrate evidence of continuous professional development. Acute Hospital experience desirable. Closing date for applications is 1pm, Monday 10th November 2025.
