Vickerstock are delighted to be partnering with a well-established food producer to recruit an Assistant Quality Manager to join their Technical team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring that safe, legal and authentic products are consistently delivered to customers. As Assistant Quality Manager, you will support the delivery, implementation and continuous improvement of the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) across the business. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will: Support the development and management of FSMS in line with legislation, certification, and customer standards. Play a key role in HACCP, VACCP & TACCP activities. Assist in supplier approvals, raw material specifications, and new product development from a food safety perspective. Support regulatory, third-party, and customer audits. Ensure corrective and preventative actions are closed out effectively. Monitor compliance with traceability, allergen control, claims validation, and export account management. Provide technical support, training and guidance to other departments. Produce quality performance reports and present KPIs to senior management. Work on continuous improvement projects to drive food safety and quality standards. Experience Required 2-3 years' experience in a quality role within the food industry. Exposure to a fast-paced manufacturing environment; meat industry experience is advantageous. A third-level qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Engineering, or a related discipline. Strong knowledge of food safety systems, auditing, and compliance.
