Key Job Responsibilities An SDE-II in the VisXP team uses their knowledge and skill to make quick two-way-door decisions and executes them to meet the team’s patching visibility goals with guidance from leadership. They influence the outcome of architecture and design efforts across the team, enhancing current products, and in developing new service offerings in support of AWS Security goals.
They work with customers, stakeholders, and peers to understand the business and customer value of our team’s software to ensure we deliver the right solutions to help them achieve their security goals.
They are a champion of operational excellence. They routinely identify and execute on opportunities to improve the team’s operations to continuously enhance customer experience and earn their trust. They take action to improve the stability, reliability and performance of the service both independently and in coordination with their peers. Their work positively impacts the software quality, customer experience, and maintainability of our services.
An SDE-II in the SecVis team is a mentor for junior engineers on the team and is also a technical escalation point for operational issues. They are active in the code review process on our team, providing meaningful feedback to others.

Basic Qualifications Experience (non-internship) in professional software development
Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
This role requires you to be a national of an EU member state.
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
