(Urgent) Capex Accountant Governance

Seeking an experienced Capex Accountant to support capital project planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, while ensuring compliance and effective stakeholder engagement.

Core Duties:

- Partner with internal teams to manage capital investments, budgets, variances, and risk.

- Support procurement in project cost evaluations.

- Maintain and enhance Capex policies, SOPs, and procedures in line with compliance standards.

- Oversee asset register, verifications, and disposals in collaboration with the GL team.

- Assist with internal/external audits and capex-related committee preparations.

- Contribute to systems/process improvements (e.g., SAP) for efficiency and compliance.

- Deliver timely financial, reconciliation, and compliance reporting.

- Ensure adherence to regulatory frameworks (e.g., Climate Action, Public Spending Code, EU Taxonomy).

Skills & Experience:

- Qualified accountant with 3+ years PQE in capital investment and financial reporting.

- Strong analytical, appraisal, and Excel skills.

- Experience in SAP and familiarity with relevant legislative frameworks.

- Background in project/process improvement and stakeholder engagement.

- Timely and accurate reporting on capital projects.
