Senior DevOps Engineer – Azure New

My client who is operating within the Aviation Industry in Dublin North is looking for a DevOps Engineer to work within a cross-functional development team working on modern web and mobile applications built with React, Node.js and React Native.

The role:

CI/CD & Automation

· Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins or similar.

· Automate testing, builds, deployments, and rollbacks for web and mobile

· Integrate quality gates, security scans, and performance checks into pipelines.

Containerization & Local Development

· Develop and maintain Docker-based local development environments.

· Partner with Dev to standardize tooling for local development, testing, and debugging.

· Support developers in adopting container-first workflows

Cloud Infrastructure & IaC

· Manage Developmemt Azure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Bicep, Terraform).

· Implement scalable, secure, and observable cloud environments.

· Collaborate with developers to design cloud-native architectures.

Monitoring & Observability

· Help set up and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (e.g., Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Datadog, New relic, Grafana).

· Enable proactive incident detection and resolution

AI-Augmented DevOps

· Evaluate and integrate AI tools to support code reviews, incident triage, test generation, and documentation

· Champion the use of AI agents to improve developer productivity and operational efficiency

Technical Skills:

· Strong experience with Azure Cloud services (App Services, AKS, Functions, Storage, etc.).

· Proficiency in Docker and container orchestration (Kubernetes a real plus).

· Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, etc.).

· Familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystems, especially React, Node.js, and React Native

· Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code.

· Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools.

· Exposure to AI/ML tools in DevOps contexts (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Azure AI, LangChain agents).

Desirable skills

Experience with mobile CI/CD (e.g., Fastlane, App Center).

· Familiarity with feature flagging, canary deployments, and blue/green deployments.

· Knowledge of security best practices in DevOps (DevSecOps).

· Contributions to open-source DevOps tools or frameworks.
