Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Source and win new business – local and global across all owned business segments.
- Collaborate with the DOS and ensure that objectives are achieved in the Sales business plan.
- Represent the hotels at sales team meetings, internal and external customer led events as appropriate.
- Adoption of all available tools to support efficient ways of working including CRM, BI Tool, Market Intelligence Tools and Solver.

Customer Facing - Owned Segments

- Execute a proactive sales plan to develop and nurture new accounts across all owned segments for the hotels.
- Identification and management of new opportunities in your market in line with hotels strategy and across the wider group portfolio.
- Collaborate with Account Management Team to nurture existing, and secure new opportunities following the group sales process.
- Instil a culture of cross selling, referrals and sharing of leads.
- Strategic approach for key segments of owned segments and identify opportunities to drive revenue and reduce costs.
- To participate fully in all sales activities including telesales, sales calls, corporate entertaining, fam trips, social events, and overseas sales trips, as necessary.

Planning & Forecasting

- Collaborate with DOS on rate strategy, budget planning, forecasting for owned segments and identifying and analysing opportunities to ensure they fit with the hotels business strategy.
- Undertake monthly corporate tracking of corporate accounts in the hotels to monitor production and identify any decreases and take necessary action to remedy.
- Collaborate with DOS on the analysis of GDS production reports and market intelligence information to develop new leads from this business channel for the hotels.
- Timely production of monthly and ad hoc reports.
- Execute actions from quarterly sales activity plans to support business needs.

Requirements

- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working within a similar position in hotels
- Effective communicator
- Be commercially aware with strong analytical skills and understand and identify business trends
- Excellent organisation and planning skills
- Sales focused and results driven
- Strong negotiating skills
- Ability to develop and build long lasting relationships through account management, and promote cross selling into Dalata hotel group
- Experience of working with global clients and agencies
- Knowledge of the Dublin market is desirable
