Reporting to the Head of Global Equity & Quant Solutions, the resource will actively contribute to steer, improve and monitor the investment process common to all the strategies managed by the desk.

The resource will cover a senior role, contributing to organize the desk’s roadmap in terms of development and improvement of existing processes. The desk has developed a proprietary software library to support the investment process; therefore, some experience with managing coding projects is desirable. The desk’s research process is fully internalized and is built upon a strong analytical framework; therefore, the resource is expected to conduct equity and quant research independently and support the more junior team members.

The resource will also be in charge of coordinating the daily activities of several portfolio managers, ensuring the quality and robustness of their analysis, whether at single stock or portfolio level. Acting in coordination with the Head of Desk, the resource will contribute to decide the active positioning of the investment portfolios managed by the team.

Required Experience

A minimum experience of 10 years in asset management companies is required, as well as at least two years in a comparable senior role and proven experience as equity portfolio manager, preferably with a global or USA focus.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge

- MSc or PhD in economics or related fields (e.g., Finance)
- Familiarity with discretionary and systematic portfolio management strategies
- Proven experience as equity portfolio manager, preferably with a global or USA focus
- Proficiency in the Python programming language
- Excellent background in economics (microeconomics, asset pricing, corporate finance), econometrics and equity valuation
- Familiarity with the SQL paradigm and API programming
- Capacity to conduct research independently (both equity research and quantitative/academic research)
- Ability to manage coding projects
- Proficient in English written and oral (knowledge of Italian constitutes a plus)
