My client, a highly respected and award-winning main contractor based in Galway, is seeking an experienced Senior Site Engineer to take a key leadership role in delivering residential and commercial projects across the West of Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:

-

Lead engineering operations on site, ensuring works are delivered to design specifications, programme timelines, and high-quality standards

-

Act as a key member of the site management team, contributing to project planning, programme coordination, and quality assurance

-

Coordinate technical information between design teams, subcontractors, and project management to ensure seamless execution

-

Manage and record site activities using digital platforms such as Procore (training provided)

-

Supervise subcontractors, monitor workmanship, and ensure compliance with design, quality standards, and H&S regulations

-

Ensure all construction works adhere to project quality plans, ISO standards, and statutory requirements

-

Review technical drawings and documentation, providing engineering input at site and project meetings

-

Oversee project close-out, including handover documentation, warranties, and sign-off procedures

-

Mentor and support junior engineers, promoting knowledge-sharing and professional development on site

Key Requirements:

-

Degree-qualified Civil/Construction Engineer with a minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a site-based engineering role (main contractor experience preferred)

-

Strong technical expertise in setting out, surveying, temporary works, and construction methodologies

-

Excellent understanding of Irish construction standards, building regulations, and Health & Safety legislation

-

Proven ability to coordinate teams, communicate effectively, and supervise works on site

-

Proficiency in MS Office and CAD; experience with digital document management systems (e.g. Procore) is an advantage

-

Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a proactive approach

-

Full, clean Irish driving licence
