Senior Occupational Therapist - Cheeverstown, Dublin

Occupational Therapist, Senior grade required by Cpl Healthcare, in partnership with the HSE, for new opportunity in Cheeverstown, Dublin.

The occupational therapy caseload consists of neurological, musculoskeletal, sensory, and orthopaedic conditions, as well as 24 hour postural management and seating clinics. The caseload also includes assisted technology clinics for adults with intellectual and physical disabilities. The senior occupational therapist holds a key role in Cheeverstown's falls management programme and in the environmental assessment of Cheeverstown's current and future properties. The senior occupational therapist supports and trains staff within both the MDT and the wider Cheeverstown staff team.

Hours: Part-time.

Job Responsibilities:

• Working as part of the Occupational Therapy team

• Provide assessment and intervention

The Candidate must:

• Possess a diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognised third level institution

• be registered as an Occupational Therapist with CORU and maintain CORU registration

• have at least 3 years satisfactory post qualification experience, with experience in the disability sector an advantage

• demonstrate excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills together with up to date knowledge of current thinking and practice in services for people with intellectual disabilities

• be highly motivated, flexible and committed to working as part of a team

• have a full driver's licence and own vehicle
