The Merrion, one of Dublins finest luxury hotels is recruiting for aJunior Training Executive. Working as part of our HR team, and reporting to the HR & Training Manager, the Junior Training Executive is a role with considerable impact across all departments of the hotel. Our consistency of standard is what gives us our competitive edge and as such, the Executive will support all departments in their understanding and compliance with both Merrion Hotel and Leading Hotels of the World standards of service. This is a busy and fast paced role which requires you to: Assist with design, development and delivering of training workshops that are both engaging and informative and fit with the Merrions high standards and level of service.Training ranges from a packed induction schedule, mandatory for all new employees, to statutory training, skills development and product knowledge for all roles in all departments Be present in Departments, actively observing standards in action, observing training needs and responding through the provision of both on job and off job training activity. Maximise the learning capacity of our LMS system 'MAPAL'. Assist the HR & Training Manager with the completion of all online activity. Assist with carrying out monthly training audits with Department Heads. Effectively communicate training plans and schedules throughout the hotel. Plan a monthly training calendar in conjunction with your manager. Be considerate of the annual training budget. Offering guidance and support to employees when approached for help with any training or development matter. Assist to mentor Merrion trainers where appointed. Display excellent presentation skills. Work effectively both independently as well as being part of a team. Show the ability to plan and prioritise workload effectively in order to meet deadlines. Be proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. In addition, you will have: Previous experience in a Training role. This is essential. Third level or relevant qualification in Human Resources/Training or a related field is beneficial. Completed Group Training Techniques or a similar programme. This position is fulltime, 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The role requires you to work onsite (no parking provided) and there will be no provision to work from home.
