Head of Finance

We are presently recruiting for a head of Finance for our clients, a Retail and hospitality group in County Kerry. You will come from a Retail or FMCG background, have strong strategic financial management skills and have experience in leading a team of finance professionals. You will play a key role in financial risk management and mitigation and will support the company owners in managing cash flow and investment strategies. This is a full-time position, based in Office in County Kerry.

Responsibilities:

- Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Oversee financial reporting, analysis, and presentation to senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop and implement robust internal controls and compliance measures.
- Drive financial performance improvement initiatives through cost analysis and optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of financial audits and tax filings.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Play a key role in financial risk management and mitigation.

Qualifications and Experiences:

- Proven experience (8+ years) in progressively responsible financial leadership roles.
- In-depth knowledge of financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
- Demonstrated success in leading and developing finance teams.
- Proficient in financial modelling, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Track record of implementing internal controls and ensuring compliance.
- Ability to navigate complex financial environments and adapt to industry changes.

This is a senior position. Salary in the region of €75 – €100,000 is offered.
