Project Manager – Dublin 4

Osborne are currently recruiting for a Project Manager, our client is seeking a motivated and strategic Project Manager to join their team. This key role will be responsible for managing a number of programmes and work streams across various departments within the organisation. This is a contract position for 9 months where you will get to work on various large construction projects and develop your skills and experience in this area. 

This role will suit a candidate who has a background with construction or engineering project management. We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 3 years solid project management experience working on large capital construction projects.

Job Type: 9-month Contract
Salary: €58,000 +
Location: Dublin 4 – Hybrid

Essential Requirements:



A NFQ Level 7 qualification in Engineering and/or Construction


A minimum of 3 years’ experience within project management




Responsibilities:



Managing, or supporting the management of HEA projects through all stages of the project lifecycle, from concept development to full implementation.


Overseeing, or assisting in overseeing, the delivery of HEA-funded capital projects and programmes in partnership with Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).


Monitoring the performance of external service providers and delivery agencies to ensure quality outcomes.


Ensuring project designs, tender documentation, and delivery align with agreed project requirements.


Arranging and overseeing the appraisal of projects, including reviewing business cases, financial analyses, and economic appraisals for capital projects.


Ensuring funded projects comply with national policies, planning frameworks, and procurement regulations.


Overseeing and reporting on project and programme expenditure.


Preparing and presenting regular progress and expenditure reports for internal and external stakeholders.


Managing requisition, disbursement, and reporting of funding, including annual profiling and regular financial updates.


Overseeing the development and implementation of internal and external systems, procedures, and guidance documentation.


Contributing to the design and delivery of strategies and implementation programmes that strengthen project outcomes.


Managing and developing junior staff within the unit, providing mentorship and guidance.


Collaborating with colleagues, senior management, and external partners to deliver on shared objectives




Desirable:



Experience in the project appraisal and design development, construction delivery stages of capital projects, with a good knowledge of current relevant guidelines, technical specifications and sustainability


Good project, programme and budget management skills across projects and programmes


Strong report writing and data management skills together with an ability to produce high quality analysis and reporting


Be a self-starter and have strong organisational, communication, problem solving, analytical, people management, negotiation, interpersonal and presentational skills


IT proficient with excellent working knowledge of MS packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project


Knowledge and experience of relevant regulations policies and guidelines


Experience with use of software packages such as AutoCAD and ArcGIS
