GPC Finance are delighted to recruit an Audit Senior on behalf of our client. Our client is a Top 10 Accounting, Audit and Advisory firms in Ireland. Through growth our client is looking to grow their FAAS team with an ambitious and motivated Audit Senior. The FAAS team are a group of proactive accounting specialists who are focused on providing practical solutions to our clients’ complex financial reporting issues.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborating with clients to prepare and review financial statements according to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Assisting clients in optimizing various business functions, including projects related to the financial statement process.
- Reviewing and remediating business processes and potentially providing short-term interim staffing assignments.
- Working in a team environment to ensure timely completion of tasks and meet deadlines.
- Promoting FAAS both internally within the organization and externally to clients.

Skills and Attributes:

- Experience in the financial services/funds industry.
- Minimum of 1 year of post-qualification experience (PQE).
- Audit experience with large Irish companies or multinational entities is desirable but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of complex financial instruments.
- Proficiency as an accountant, with a strong understanding of IFRS, US GAAP, and regulatory requirements specific to the funds industry.
- Strong computer skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to address issues as they arise.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with good report writing and Excel skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and stay up-to-date with developments, particularly in IFRS and US GAAP.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Possession of a recognized accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or an equivalent certification.
