Associate / Senior Associate Employee Relations HR Business Partner

This position is responsible for providing a consistent experience to leaders and employees by supporting and executing the engagement strategy for Lilly. The Senior Associate - Employee Relations HRBP provides partnership to leaders and employees focusing on the work environment, employee relations, performance management and business processes. This position is also responsible for executing the talent strategy, providing HR partnership to senior leadership focusing on engagement, talent, retention, compensation, core people processes and change management by executing the business/GBS HR strategy.

The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of Irish employment law and ER processes.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Employee Relations Expertise

1. Supports with ER matters across the site in Cork including managing probation periods, performance management, investigations, disciplinary hearings, workplace grievances etc.
2. Applies policies and procedures across an organization; interprets both policies and changes to policy. Positively influences policy enhancement.
3. Applies compliance knowledge to protect organization and mitigate risk.

Human Resources Expertise

1. Serves as a subject-matter expert to senior leadership.
2. Implements change based on proven change management techniques.
3. Seeks ways to proactively improve organizational processes and outcomes; implements solutions that are aligned and consistent with global HR best practices.

Relationship Management

1. Facilitates difficult interactions among organizational stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes; resolves escalated conflicts among stakeholders.
2. Builds consensus and settles disputes on HR policy and practice decisions.

Business Acumen

1. Executes HR business strategies to drive key business results; provides guidance on HR matters, partnering with subject-matter experts to develop needed solutions.
2. Maintains broad-based knowledge of the organization and its operations; uses knowledge of business and HR metrics to facilitate business decisions.
3. Demonstrates working knowledge of the labour market and its relation to organizational success.

Consultation

1. Partners with senior leadership to proactively implement business solutions, utilizing HR expertise and perspective; supports HR projects.
2. Coaches senior leadership on HR and business-related issues.

Leadership

1. Executes programs, policies, and procedures to drive an engaged and performing organizational culture.
2. Implements and delivers solutions and interventions that address issues of retention, change management, employee engagement, and leadership development, partnering with subject-matter experts as appropriate.
3. Executes consistent HR services for the operating entity.

HR Insights

1. Interprets data and makes recommendations; asks critical questions needed to evaluate data; gathers, analyses and presents data to senior leaders and recommends solutions that support the culture and the defined HR strategy.
2. Analyses root causes of work environment issues; manages interventions and solutions in collaboration and cooperation with key stakeholders.

Experience and Qualifications:

1. Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas – HR, Legal, Business.
2. Minimum of 3-5 years ER/HR Business Partner experience including experience working with and influencing senior leadership in large, complex multinational organisations.
3. Excellent working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines including employee relations, talent management, performance management, employee engagement, talent acquisition and coaching.
4. Outstanding skills in stakeholder management, proven ability in building and managing relationships.
5. Proven interpersonal and communication skills to interact with all levels of an organization.
6. System Experience in Workday desirable.
7. CIPD qualified desirable.
8. Employee Relations Experience - Performance Mgmt, Coaching Leaders etc.
