Overview
Due to our continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Manager available within our Deal Advisory department in the Cork office.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant who possesses a high degree of commercial awareness and attention to detail. The Deal Advisory department in Grant Thornton is a market leader and has extensive experience in all aspects of mergers and acquisitions, transaction advisory services, valuations and raising capital and business planning.

Responsibilities

Manage buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence engagements across various sectors, ensuring high-quality deliverables.

Analyse financial and operational data to identify key business drivers, risks, and deal issues.

Prepare and present clear, concise reports and presentations to clients and stakeholders.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including tax, legal, and operational due diligence.

Develop and maintain client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the deal lifecycle.

Support business development activities, including proposal writing and pitch presentations.

Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering a high-performance culture.

Analyse and assist with the preparation of valuation reports.

Assist with sale and purchase mandates, MBO and MBI assignments.

The Successful Candidate Will Be And Possess

ACA / ACCA / CFA qualified or equivalent;

5+ years of Transaction Advisory Services (preferably financial due diligence) at an established Transaction Advisory practice;

Strong project management and leadership capabilities;

Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools; experience with Alteryx, Power BI, or similar is a plus;

Fluency in English is a must;

Excellent communication skills; and

Industry experience with an interest in returning to a professional services environment.
